Quest training has been formed to provide training and continuous professional development to Speech & Language Therapists and other Health Care professionals and assistants. Based within the West Midlands, our aim is to work in partnership with a variety of other professionals to provide high quality training within budget constraints of health departments and individuals.

Quest Training was founded by Jo Frost a Speech & Language Therapist who works within the National Health service as well as operating a private practice She also acted as professional coordinator on the BTEC PDQ Speech & Language Therapy support course at Bournville College of Further Education from 1999 - 2001.

Judi Hibberd & Jeanne Taylor are responsible for the development and delivery of the 4 day course and the Jays dysphagia assessments for both paediatics and ALD. They have between them many years of experience. Jeanne & Judi have collaborated in teaching, assessment design, development of policies and procedures and clinical supervision in the area of Paediatric and ALD dysphagia. Judi Hibberd
Judi Hibberd has been working in adult dysphagia since 1990 and in paediatric and learning disability dysphagia since 1996. She specialises in the use of clinical tools particularly cervical auscultation, pulse oximetry, videofluroscopy, FEES and EMG. She has taken part in several research studies and has published work both as a co-author and on her own, the two most recent being on predictors of aspiration pneumonia and assessment. She is regional advisor for dysphagia in adults with learning disabilities.

Jeanne Taylor
Jeanne Taylor has worked with children with Dysphagia since 1983 and later with Adults with a Learning Disability. Jeanne has been lecturing to a range of professionals for the last 15 years and is passionate about the need for a good evidence base to provide a foundation for Dysphagia management. Jeanne now lives in Spain where she has a private practice, visiting England several times a year to lecture. Jeanne’s main focus has always been the management of Dysphagia and the minimising of the distress to families and carers, utilising her expertise as a counsellor outside the NHS. Jeanne is currently in contact with the local general hospital in Spain to explore the differences and similarities in Dysphagia care in the two countries.
