Deciding whether to apply for this course should be made with reference to the RCSLT Policy statement: Fibroptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES): The role of speech and language therapy.

Who should apply for this course?
·         Therapists working in community who refer their patients for FEES wishing to further enhance and develop skills their in instrumental assessment.
·         Therapists in departments who have access to FEES wishing to develop their clinical skills and competence.
·         For departments developing a FEES service
·         For clinicians improving their clinical skills

Pre course requirements:
o        Post graduate dysphagia training
o        3 years experience working independently with dysphagic clients.
o        Current and regularly updated skills in dysphagia
o        Understanding the clinical indicators for instrumental assessment
o        Have read the RCSLT policy statement Fibroptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES): The role of speech and language therapy.
